CWCThe Chemical Weapons Convention was a meeting between world leaders to establish a neutrality due to the stockpile of chemical weapons. The treaty was signed in 1992 and as of now, 192 states have agreed. The four that have not, unsurprisingly starts with North Korea and Egypt, Somalia, and South Sudan follow.
Political Impact: It's generally all an arms race. Governments see terrorists and other countries with these weapons and they use it as motivation to make and stockpile more of them. Governments are scared due to the amount of weapons other countries have and they argue whether people should have these weapons or not. Social Impact: If one country possesses potentially disastrous weapons, the surrounding nations or enemy nations will tend to establish neutrality due to the known fact that they have nuclear bombs. |
